The project

The project aims at facilitating the help and support of refugees children/youth affected by war with the help of local youth, while raising awareness about the importance of a home and the feeling of belonging. 

General objectives: 

– Increase the empowerment of refugees children/youth for their meaningful participation in the resettlement country 

– Bolster the capacity of organisations and institutions supporting children and youth experiencing this “dual” transitional process

Objectives

  • Capacitate 60 youngsters with competences to become actively involved in their sending communities in the work of alleviating the needs of refugees or displaced people 
  • Give 10 local refugees/asylum seekers the chance to do ESC and contribute in the problem alleviation of their peers, while gaining competences that will be useful in their personal, educational and social development 
  • Creating a network of prepared NGO‟s to tackled through the EQUIP approach a wider impact in diminishing the problem faced by children/youth refugees in Europe
  • Raise awareness about the importance of community involvement in the situation of the refugees, especially in regards to children/youth, through the virtual exhibitions “Giant Doll‟s House”

Activities and Results

  • 60 volunteers in 1 mobility in Romania for 30 days mobility activity
  • 50 refugees and kids involved in the activities 
  • 1 toolkit for volunteers
  • 5 UNITY videos + 30 Tik-toks/community + 10 GDH Exhibitions
