Meet our new volunteers in Bologna!

The fact of leaving home, your city, your family, to look for new opportunities can be a difficult step, or almost impossible in some cases, but Laia and Fernando were clear. After an intensive research of the European Voluntary Service (EVS) offers, this spanish youngsters were finally selected as new volunteers in Bologna for a stage adequate to their interests and studies, Audiovisual Communication and Journalism, respectively.

  • What they are going to do in their EVS period? During the 10 months that they will saty in the amazing city of Bologna, northeastern Italy, they will work in association Scambieuropei, a benchmark in the sector at national level. Concretely, they will be responsible for promoting EVS opportunities and other voluntary services, scholarships, and job offers of various kinds.

 

  • How they will do it? To promote these kind of offers, they will use social networking, video editing, photography, blogging, and will be in contact and working hand to hand with other associations, will hold non formal learning workshops … and so on.

 

 

A truly implementation of their knowledge gained at university, in an international environment where they will use several languages, and improve their skills in their own field, communication, or even in other areas not related with, collaborating with another associations of diverse kind in Bologna.

Dejar el propio hogar, tu ciudad, tu familia, en busca de nuevas oportunidades puede ser un paso complicado, pero Laia y Fernando lo tenían claro. Tras una búsqueda intensiva en el Servicio de Voluntariado Europeo (EVS, por sus siglas en inglés), finalmente fueron seleccionados como voluntarios para una oferta adecuada a sus intereses y estudios, Comunicación Audiovisual y Periodismo, respectivamente.

 

 

  • ¿Qué harán durante su periodo EVS? Durante los 10 meses que pasarán en la increíble ciudad de Bolonia, al noreste de Italia, esta barcelonesa y este pamplonés trabajarán en la asociación Scambieuropei, un referente a nivel nacional en el sector. Allí se encargarán de la promoción de oportunidades del EVS, y de otros servicios de voluntariados, becas, u ofertas de trabajo de diverso tipo.

 

  • ¿Cómo lo harán? Para la promoción de estas ofertas, utilizarán redes sociales, edición de vídeo, fotografía, blogs, estarán en contacto y trabajarán mano a mano con demás asociaciones, realizarán talleres informativos… y un largo etcétera.

 

Una puesta en práctica en la vida real de sus conocimientos obtenidos en la universidad, en un entorno internacional donde además utilizarán varios idiomas, y mejorarán sus habilidades en su propio campo, la comunicación, y en otros otros ámbitos no relacionados.
